Ridge United Methodist Church is having a LENTEN FRIENDLY PASTA DINNER/FUNDRAISER.This meal will help provide a clean water well in Burkina Faso, Africa. 3 million people in Burkina Faso lack access to an improved water source and only 22% have access to a toilet, causing over 2,800 childhood deaths per year for children under 5. Clean water is a must for the children of Burkina Faso to survive. One well costs about $2,000.00 to build. Last summer, the children of our VBS built a well! I am challenging all of you to build one too!
During the season of Lent, people take time to slow down and examine their lives. We would like to use this time to help others. Our Pasta dinner will be a fundraiser to build a clean water well in Burkina Faso. We hope you will join us for great food and raising money for clean water so desperately needed by millions.
